  • Fine-mesh sieve
  • Chilled glass

Ingredients

  • 2 oz cachaça
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 cup fresh fruit such as passion fruit, mango, or coconut
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • If using whole fruits, peel and chop them into small pieces. For fruits like passion fruit, simply scoop out the pulp.
  • In a blender, combine the fresh fruit, cachaça, lime juice, and simple syrup. Add a handful of ice cubes.
  • Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency by adding more ice if desired.
  • If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp.
  • Pour the Batida into a chilled glass. You can garnish with a slice of the fruit used or a sprig of mint if desired.

Notes

Batida can be customized with different fruits, allowing for a variety of flavors. Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of simple syrup based on the fruit's natural sweetness. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
