Batida is a traditional Brazilian cocktail that combines fruit, sugar, and cachaça, resulting in a refreshing and fruity drink perfect for warm weather.
1cupfresh fruitsuch as passion fruit, mango, or coconut
ice cubes
Instructions
If using whole fruits, peel and chop them into small pieces. For fruits like passion fruit, simply scoop out the pulp.
In a blender, combine the fresh fruit, cachaça, lime juice, and simple syrup. Add a handful of ice cubes.
Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency by adding more ice if desired.
If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp.
Pour the Batida into a chilled glass. You can garnish with a slice of the fruit used or a sprig of mint if desired.
Notes
Batida can be customized with different fruits, allowing for a variety of flavors. Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of simple syrup based on the fruit's natural sweetness. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
