Equipment

  • Pint glass
  • stirring spoon

Ingredients

  • 4 oz tomato juice
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 dashes hot sauce
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • celery salt pinch
  • freshly ground black pepper pinch
  • 8 oz light lager or ale chilled
  • Lemon wedge and celery stalk for garnish

Instructions

  • In a pint glass, combine the tomato juice, lemon juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, and black pepper.
  • Stir the mixture well to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  • Slowly pour the chilled beer into the glass, taking care not to disturb the mixture too much in order to maintain some of the beer's carbonation.
  • Gently stir once or twice to integrate the beer with the tomato mixture.
  • Garnish with a lemon wedge and a celery stalk.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust the level of spiciness to your preference by increasing or decreasing the amount of hot sauce. The choice of beer can also significantly affect the taste; a lighter lager or ale is recommended for a more refreshing drink.
