- 4 oz Black Seal Rum (or another dark Bermuda rum)
- 4 oz Pineapple juice
- 4 oz Orange juice
- 1/2 oz Bermuda Falernum or simple syrup
- 1 oz Juice of 2 lemons approximately
- 5 dashes Angostura bitters
- Crushed ice
Fill a pitcher or large glass with crushed ice.
Add the dark rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, lemon juice, and Bermuda Falernum or simple syrup to the pitcher.
Add the dashes of Angostura bitters.
Use a traditional swizzle stick or a bar spoon to stir the mixture until well combined and the container becomes frosty.
Strain the mixture into highball glasses filled with crushed ice.
Garnish with a slice of orange or a cherry, if desired.
Serve immediately with a cocktail straw.
The traditional way to mix a swizzle is with a swizzle stick, which is a special tool designed to be rotated rapidly between the palms to mix the drink.
Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of Falernum or simple syrup according to taste.
If Black Seal Rum is not available, any good quality dark rum can be substituted, though the flavor profile may change slightly.
