Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz light Mexican beer (such as Corona or Pacifico)
  • 4 oz tomato juice
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (such as Valentina or Tabasco)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • salt (for rimming the glass)
  • lime wedge (for garnish)
  • ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Start by rimming a tall glass with lime juice and then dip the rim into salt to coat it evenly.
  • In a separate container, combine the tomato juice, fresh lime juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, cumin, and chili powder. Stir well to mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
  • Fill the prepared glass with ice cubes to your liking.
  • Pour the tomato juice mixture over the ice, then slowly add the light Mexican beer, allowing it to mix gently with the juice.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

The Chavela can be customized with additional toppings such as diced jalapeños, sliced cucumbers, or even a sprinkle of Tajín for added flavor. Adjust the level of hot sauce according to your spice preference for a milder or spicier drink.
