Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Dark Rum
  • 1/2 oz Falernum
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Wedge of Lime for juice and garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Fill a rocks glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour the dark rum and falernum over the ice.
  • Add two dashes of Angostura bitters.
  • Squeeze a lime wedge over the drink and drop it in.
  • Stir the mixture until well combined.
  • Garnish with an additional lime wedge if desired.

Notes

For an authentic taste, use a Barbadian or Caribbean dark rum. The lime wedge is more traditional than using a measured amount of lime juice, as the slight bitterness of the lime peel adds depth to the cocktail.
