Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Fine-mesh sieve
  • Juicer or Blender
  • Measuring Jigger
  • Glass

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Tequila preferably silver
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz Cucumber Juice freshly juiced
  • 0.5 oz Agave Syrup

Garnishes

  • Cucumber slices for garnish
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Salt for rimming the glass, optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the glass: If desired, rim the glass with salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it into a plate of salt. Set aside.
  • Juice the cucumber: Using a juicer or a blender, blend fresh cucumber until smooth. Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove pulp, yielding about 1 oz of cucumber juice.
  • Mix the ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, cucumber juice, and agave syrup.
  • Shake: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain: Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  • Garnish: Garnish with a slice of cucumber and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.

Notes

For an extra refreshing twist, consider adding a few fresh mint leaves to the shaker before shaking. Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of agave syrup to suit your taste.
