Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Muddler
  • Strainer
  • Rocks glass

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Gin 60 ml
  • 3/4 oz Simple Syrup 22 ml
  • 1/2 Lemon cut into wedges
  • 4-6 Fresh Mint Leaves
  • Crushed Ice
  • Mint Sprig, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place the lemon wedges and mint leaves into a shaker and muddle them together to release the lemon juice and the oils from the mint leaves.
  • Add the gin and simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with crushed ice and shake well until the mixture is well-chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice.
  • Garnish with a sprig of mint.

Notes

If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can adjust the amount of simple syrup to taste. For a less sweet version, reduce the simple syrup or use a sugar-free alternative.
