Ingredients
  

  • ¾ oz Gin
  • ¾ oz Green Chartreuse
  • ¾ oz Maraschino Liqueur
  • ¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice

Instructions
 

  • Chill a cocktail or coupe glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.
  • In a cocktail shaker, add the gin, green Chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and fresh lime juice.
  • Fill the shaker with ice, ensuring it’s about three-quarters full.
  • Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Discard the ice water from the chilled glass. Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the mixture into the chilled cocktail glass.
  • Optionally, garnish with a lime wheel or cherry for an added touch.

Notes

The Last Word can be adjusted to taste; however, the traditional proportions are highly recommended for the best balance. For a variation, try substituting different types of gin or experimenting with the ratios of the ingredients.
