  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz Soda Water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon twist for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Start by chilling a highball glass or a coupe glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the absinthe, orange liqueur, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  • Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.
  • Discard the ice water from the chilled glass and strain the mixture into the glass using a fine mesh strainer to catch any ice shards.
  • Gently pour the soda water over the cocktail to add a refreshing touch.
  • Finish by garnishing with a twist of lemon peel, expressing the oils over the drink before placing it on top.

Notes

Adjust the simple syrup to taste if you prefer a sweeter or less sweet cocktail. The Louche Lamp is best enjoyed fresh, so avoid pre-mixing large batches.
