Equipment

  • Chilled glass (martini glass or old-fashioned glass)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Coffee Liqueur (e.g., KahlĂșa)
  • 1 oz Irish Cream (e.g., Baileys)
  • 1 oz Heavy Cream optional, for a richer drink
  • Ice Cubes

Instructions
 

  • Fill a shaker with ice cubes.
  • Add the vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream, and heavy cream (if using) to the shaker.
  • Shake well until the mixture is chilled.
  • Strain into a chilled glass filled with ice cubes for an on-the-rocks version, or into a martini glass for a straight-up version.
  • If desired, garnish with a sprinkle of grated chocolate or a chocolate swirl.

Notes

For a frozen Mudslide, blend the ingredients with ice until smooth and serve in a chilled glass. Whipped cream and chocolate syrup are popular garnishes for this version.
