Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz cachaça
  • 1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 ripe passion fruit
  • Crushed ice

Instructions
 

  • Place the lime wedges and sugar into a sturdy glass.
  • Muddle the lime and sugar together until the sugar starts to dissolve and the lime releases its juice.
  • Scoop out the passion fruit pulp and seeds into the glass and muddle lightly with the lime and sugar mixture to release the juices.
  • Fill the glass with crushed ice almost to the top.
  • Pour the cachaça over the ice.
  • Stir the mixture well to combine the flavors and to chill the drink.
  • Garnish with a slice of lime or a small spoon of passion fruit pulp, if desired.

Notes

For a less sweet or more tart flavor, adjust the amount of sugar to taste. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute cachaça with a splash of soda water or lemon-lime soda.
