Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz sake
  • 1 oz pear nectar
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • Pear slice for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Chill a cocktail glass by placing it in the freezer for a few minutes or by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the sake, pear nectar, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice.
  • Add ice to the shaker until it is about halfway full, then cover and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  • Discard the ice or water from the chilled cocktail glass.
  • Strain the cocktail mixture into the chilled glass.
  • Garnish with a slice of pear on the rim of the glass or floating on top.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, replace the sake with sparkling water or a non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Simple syrup can be made by dissolving equal parts sugar and water over low heat and then cooling it down before use.
