Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Ruby Port
  • 1 oz Brandy
  • 1 oz Heavy cream
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1/2 oz Simple syrup optional, to taste
  • Freshly grated nutmeg for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the Ruby Port, brandy, heavy cream, whole egg, and simple syrup (if using).
  • Dry shake (without ice) vigorously for about 15 seconds to emulsify the egg and combine the ingredients.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.
  • Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg on top.

Notes

The Porto Flip is best enjoyed fresh, as the egg adds a creamy texture that is most appealing right after preparation. For a twist, you can experiment with different types of Port, such as Tawny, for varied flavor profiles.
