Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Dark Rum
  • 2 oz Gold Rum
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 oz Orange Juice
  • 1 oz Pineapple Juice optional
  • 1 oz Falernum or Simple Syrup
  • 6 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Crushed Ice
  • Mint sprig for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a pitcher, combine the dark rum, gold rum, lime juice, orange juice, pineapple juice (if using), and falernum or simple syrup.
  • Add the Angostura bitters and fill the pitcher half-full with crushed ice.
  • Using a swizzle stick or a bar spoon, swizzle the ingredients together until well mixed and the outside of the pitcher frosts over.
  • Pour the mixture into highball glasses filled with more crushed ice.
  • Garnish each glass with a sprig of mint.

Notes

The traditional Rum Swizzle can be made with or without pineapple juice, depending on your preference. The drink is often served in a tall glass, such as a Collins or highball glass, and is typically enjoyed as a long, cool drink during the hotter months.
