Ingredients
  

  • 3 oz Junmai sake
  • 1 oz dry gin or vodka
  • 1/2 oz dry vermouth (optional)
  • Cucumber slice or lemon twist for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Chill a martini or coupe glass by filling it with ice water and letting it sit while you prepare the cocktail.
  • In a mixing glass, combine the Junmai sake, dry gin or vodka, and dry vermouth (if using).
  • Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.
  • Discard the ice water from your chilled glass and strain the mixture into the glass using a fine mesh strainer.
  • Add a cucumber slice or a twist of lemon peel to the drink as a garnish.

Notes

For a more pronounced sake flavor, opt for a premium Junmai sake. Adjust the ratio of sake to gin or vodka according to your taste preference. Experiment with garnishes such as a sprig of fresh herbs or a thin slice of radish for added flair.
