Ingredients
  

  • 4 ounces Sherry preferably a medium dry like Amontillado
  • 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
  • 2-3 slices fresh orange
  • 1 maraschino cherry
  • Crushed ice

Instructions
 

  • In a shaker, muddle the orange slices with the simple syrup to release the citrus oils.
  • Add the sherry to the shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with crushed ice and shake well until chilled.
  • Pour the mixture into a glass filled with fresh crushed ice.
  • Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.
  • Serve with a straw.

Notes

The Sherry Cobbler is traditionally served in a Collins or highball glass. You can adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of simple syrup.
