Equipment

  • Strainer

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Mezcal
  • 2 oz Fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz Agave syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 pinch Sea salt
  • Grapefruit soda to top off
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Salt or Tajín for rimming the glass, optional

Instructions
 

  • If desired, rim your glass with salt or Tajín. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim and dip it into the salt or Tajín to coat.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal, fresh grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and a pinch of sea salt.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into an ice-filled glass.
  • Top off the drink with grapefruit soda to your taste.
  • Add a lime wedge for garnish.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less agave syrup based on your preference. For an extra smoky flavor, use a mezcal with a pronounced smokiness. Enjoy responsibly!
