The Mezcal Paloma is a refreshing twist on the classic Paloma cocktail, substituting tequila with smoky mezcal. This drink balances the earthy flavors of mezcal with the brightness of grapefruit and lime, making it a perfect choice for warm weather.
If desired, rim your glass with salt or Tajín. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim and dip it into the salt or Tajín to coat.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the mezcal, fresh grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and a pinch of sea salt.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
Strain the mixture into an ice-filled glass.
Top off the drink with grapefruit soda to your taste.
Add a lime wedge for garnish.
