  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • chilled cocktail glass

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1/2 oz Grenadine
  • 1/2 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Egg white about 1 oz or 30 ml

Instructions

  • Chill a cocktail glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water and setting it aside.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, grenadine, fresh lemon juice, and egg white.
  • Dry shake (shake without ice) vigorously for about 15 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well-chilled, usually about 10-15 seconds.
  • Discard the ice or water from your chilled glass.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared cocktail glass.
  • If desired, garnish with a cherry or a twist of lemon peel.

Notes

If you're hesitant to use raw egg whites due to health concerns, pasteurized egg whites or an egg white substitute can be used. Also, a vigorous shake is essential to create the frothy texture characteristic of a Pink Lady.
